The National Children’s Alliance has some startling statistics regarding child abuse. Abuse comes in many forms and we realize that people who are in an abusive situation are often afraid to ask for help or don’t know where to turn. There are so many resources out there! Here we have listed a few and if you or someone you know is in a difficult situation please pass along this information. Please know that we are here to help. Oklahoma Domestic Violence Help Has some great information including shelter information and how to leave safely.
Oklahoma Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault is also a great resource for those in difficult situations.
The YWCA has helpful information about abuse and is able to provide assistance.
Childhelp is a wonderful organization committed to preventing child abuse. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Yes I Can has great information about reporting abuse. Sometimes it can be difficult to report something you can’t ‘prove’. This site is very helpful for those concerned about possible abuse.
